Dining at Fork or ÁLAVITA is an experience: You’re surrounded by high-energy diners, served by some of the best staff in the business, and treated to carefully prepared dishes that marry local ingredients with international inspiration. (The restaurants’ signature hashtag is #LoyaltoLocal.)

Our task was to highlight each restaurant’s unique characteristics while making it clear the eateries share the same owner, Cameron Lumsden. We used WordPress Multisite so employees can manage both their own restaurant site and that of their sister restaurant. We placed convenient features up front: Access to OpenTable reservations, menus, and a clock that features each restaurant’s hours (or, in off-hours, a countdown until it opens next).

Each restaurant’s website has the same typeface and modular layout, but the photos, videos, and color scheme reflect the unique look and feel of the individual spaces. We worked with a great videographer, Josh Cremer, on time-lapse videos of each restaurant and vignettes of food as it its prepared and enjoyed. Together, these elements create a web experience that’s nearly as vibrant as eating at the real thing.
