The Impact on Marketing

There has been a hard and fast shift in consumer behavior with the COVID-19 impact, and we are spending a lot of time this week navigating it for ourselves and our clients. We wanted to share some marketing tactics to implement to provide short-term gains that we are using for ourselves at BrandCraft, and for our clients. Let's chat through how you can navigate this shift, and even leverage it, to reach customers online while they are at home looking for online solutions.

Here is an overview of what we are recommending to our clients at this time.

On the scheduled call, we will create a detailed plan on to how to execute on this for your business.

Adapt services to an online world

Determine where you can provide remote services or if you can create an online store for your products. This could look like offering phone consultations, adding an online store for products, or delivery services. Then make sure there is an easy way for clients to engage in these services. Like call scheduling on your website, online delivery request, whatever makes the most sense for you and your customers.

Make online offerings front and center

You might already offer remote and online services, but it obvious at every touchpoint? Now is the time to highlight those services on the homepage of your website, update all calls to action, add information about it to your email signature, and maybe even introduce a website pop up.

Make sure you’re searchable online

Can people find you online when making searches in search engines? One of the best ways to ensurethis are local business listings, like your Google My Business listing or Yelp page. If you already have these listings, audit them and make sure links work and all information is correct. You can use tools like this one to scrub all your major listings online: https://moz.com/checkout/local/check

Activate digital marketing

Time to promote and educate consumers on your online offerings. Google search ads (especially with people at home searching for online services), highly targeted social media ads, and banner and display ads. If you have an email list or text club, blast it out there too. Make sure all advertising is hyperfocused on the remote / online offering, clearly messages the benefit to the customer, and include an easy call to action to follow. If it is call now, make sure they can call from the ad. If it’s a purchase online, link it directly to the product. Make it as easy as possible for your customers.
