Did you know that 75% of users make judgments about a company’s credibility based on visual design alone? Your website’s appearance and how it performs make or breaks a user’s impression of your business.

Our website development team had the opportunity to revamp Best Human Resource Solution’s (BHRS) website. Discover how we focused on updating this site that allowed for multiple integrations while creating a seamless user experience.

Who is BHRS?

Located in Moses Lake, WA, BHRS has been around since 1999. They pride themselves as being a trusted resource for job seekers and employers primarily in the manufacturing industry. Specifically, they offer personalized employment services for both employees and employers including applicant sourcing, interviewing, background checks, payroll services, and much more.

This company offers many resources and needs a website to do the same. As a growth marketing agency, we aided in the website redesign and development to build a performing tool that includes access to forms, job boards, and an employee portal.

The creation of a custom website redesign

As the world on the web moves fast, most want to be able to keep up with the current trends– including BHRS. Below we highlight the scope of the project and the steps it took to bring every together:

Goals of the website redesign project

This company was previously dealing with an outdated website displaying different types of inconsistent formats and limited functionality.  BHRS leaned on our web design agency to create the perfect website redesign to meet the goals of their company.

Key goals for the new site included:

  • Develop an updated, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive website
  • Allow job seekers to easily find & apply to job positions
  • Help job seekers match to jobs that fit their skills & abilities

The process

Phase 1

Following the identification of project goals, our web design team developed a plan to accomplish them. Understanding the tone as well as likes and dislikes from the client we dove straight into building a sitemap. As we provided a sitemap we leaned on BHRS to provide the seed content.

Phase 2

After the sitemap was finalized, we then moved into content assistance for each web page. Further, our team designed the initial prototypes for the website focusing on the overall look and feel.

One challenge we faced was the use of the brand’s color palette. We intended to display the use of white, green, and black to guide the users throughout the website without overusing each color.  Another challenge was finding the right balance of a clean/simple website design to provide that professional look, but along with an approachable design; not stark.

We strategically applied a simple, yet not boring pattern.  Furthermore, the combination of the friendly diverse photography style and simple but fun typeface fits well with BHRs. We also included visual interest on both light and dark backgrounds to round out the final design. As these design drafts were approved by BHRS we made final edits and begun on the actual development of the new website redesign.

Phase 3

Next, we worked on the website redesign development phase through a testing site. In this testing site, we architected a powerful and accessible content hub that supports the integrations BHRS was looking for. After additional edits, we included all integration links, G-Translate (allowing for multiple languages on this website), employee portal, and more.

Continuing to improve the entire site our team optimized all functionality and design for mobile. As a result, any user will be able to easily navigate through the updated website on multiple devices with the same consistent concepts. Once all edits were finalized the testing site was approved and ready to launch.

Phase 4

With the help of the client’s IT team, we brought all of the elements together to launch BHRS’s new website. Post-launch we scheduled a client training to review minor site edits & questions. The new site feels clean and professional.  Seamlessly, the new website is easier to browse with consistent formatting and clear paths to specific content for employers and employees alike.

Conclusion

Best Human Resource Solution’s new website redesign pays tribute to the company’s resources, value, and capabilities. Investing in a good website design impacts the growth of your business. Equally important, a strong website design can lead to an increase in organic traffic with SEO, encourage users to convert, and help pave the way for successful PPC campaigns.
